Friday Funnies
Because life is hard and the week is long, and…
HEY, IT”S HALLOWEEN!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYBODY! BWAH-HA-HA-HA-HA!
Find your headstone above if you reserved a plot. The demons have been working day and night (mostly night) to get them ready in time. If you didn’t reserve one, just enjoy the nice creepy pictures and the lovely headstones and the fine, high-quality Halloween cats for as long as they’re here. If you’d like to see a larger version just click on the image and hey presto, just like magic, there it is!
My life is complete now that my tombstone is done. Send the bill to my executor. Such a great job, Sherry, you have a wonderful gift for creating mood/atmosphere and magic. Even in a cemetery your artwork comes alive.!
Thanks–I have big plans for it next year–want to add cozy elements to just bring the whole thing right into the tea parlor.
Wonderful job, Sherry! And now I can say, “I been published!” Thanks! Sam
You should autograph it. Someday it’ll be worth millions.
That is too cool! You know, it’s a nice thing to be buried with friends. I love the idea! Can I use this as a screensaver? Thank you!
You sure can–if you click down on the image you should get one that’s large enough to be suitable.
Cool Sherry. I’ve missed visiting, I got sick recently and that put me out of touch.

Welcome back–and I’m hoping you’re feeling better.
Wow, Sherry! You are so amazing with your clever devices! Way too cool!!!

Thanks, Mary–I’m glad you like it. It was a blast doing it. I have a 24 x 36 original. (My favorite bit is the candy cane that has been hung–complete with broken neck) from my son’s tombstone).
Dani sent me the link, and I just have to leave a comment… This is wonderful! Perfect for Halloween, and very clever!
I’m glad you like it, Ann–it was a lot of fun to do.
Love it! You are so talented!
Thanks, Deborah Lee. I have too many ideas for my own good.
That’s a fun way to scare anyone.
My Darcy Mutates
I think so–everyone got to write their own epitaph; I take no responsibility for those.
I have to admit I’m not a big fan of Halloween. I find it irreverant. But this was beautiful and well done. As always you create something amazing…
Interesting, your take on Halloween. I find it deeply meaningful–it’s a time to reconnect with those who have gone before, and each year I have a private ritual I do. But I also love the whole “giving out candy to the kids” thing–it just seems to me like a wonderful way to perpetuate a lovely thing.
Dragonlady probably sees Halloween from my perspective – the Walmart costume aisle. Ish. It’s why I wrote a GreenHalloween.com post. The traditional holiday, another matter entirely. It IS a nice time to think about all the passed spirits including my furry ones.
Have to admit I avoid the WalMart Halloween aisle myself–I liked to make my son’s costumes (though this year he’s says no costume, no trick or treating–he’s growing up).
OMG this is PHANTASTIC darling! I only just now have had a chance to look at it. [The picture] and don’t know why it didn’t come through my blog link. I’ll just have to follow you up with another successful link this time – you blow me away with your creativity. Thank you for honoring me by letting me be a part of this great painting & blog.
thanks, Rhonda–I love to share stuff like this . I’m already looking forward to next year.
Hey, can I get a full text RSS subscription from your blog (with proper credit of course)? I can only see excerpts.
I’m not a robot. I’m fully aware of my existence and I have no doubts about reality – it does not exist.
I once was a boy and now I’m a girl. Do you know what if feels like?
I just saw my comments being removed from some sites. I mean no harm, I’m just… sporadic.
The best defense against logic is stupidity.
I’m happy for you to have full RSS feed (sorry it took so long to respond; you wound up in my “spam” queue here, too). I’m just not quite sure how to go about granting something like that. It almost sounds like the sort of thing for which one needs vaccinations, or possibly contraceptives.
