PHOENIX IS HOME!!!!! They removed his IV today and sent him home with a boatload of meds and instructions to follow up in a day or two with my regular veterinarian. I’m thrilled beyond words. It feels so right to have him here. . . . if only I can get all of the dogs to eventually live harmoniously.
I’ve put him in one of the boarding kennel with an attached 25-foot run so he can heal and gain weight with worrying about other dogs as threats. Tonight at the vet’s another dog walked past, and he barked as loudly as he could – the vet said he didn’t like other dogs (that was the biggest problem I had with Allie). I really hope we can work with him behaviorally so that he will fit in with the pack. But if he doesn’t, he can be the big kahuna in the boarding kennel. I’m looking forward to working with the animal communicator in getting Phoenix and my three dogs to live together harmoniously.
